Peanut Butter Dog Treats

My Sweet Pup Daisy

I am a big animal lover.  I bet you are too.

I have a sweet little pup named Daisy.  She is my constant companion, both in and out of my kitchen.  I have 3 cats too, but you know cats – they have their own idea of the world.

Daisy is about 5 years old and has a bit of a sensitive stomach.  If she eats too many treats, she gets a sick stomach.  Because of this I have begun to make her treats with rice flour.  Have you priced rice flour?  It is crazy!  I think the last time I purchased rice flour, I paid about $7.00 for a small bag of it.  I treated it like gold!

I was so happy to get my Wonder Mil Grain Mill.  I knew the first thing I would try would be making rice flour.  I purchased a large bag of inexpensive rice for about $3.00.  I ground a few cups of it for the puppy treats!  It was so fast and easy and the rice flour was the perfect consistency!

I am going to use the rice flour in other baking projects also.  It is a wonderful alternative to wheat or white flour!

About Cynthia @ FeedingBig

I have always loved cooking, but for many years the recipes were of the quick and easy type. I homeschooled my daughter and we were always on the run! Now, she is in college and I have more time to learn new techniques and new recipes. Working with only whole foods and cooking/baking from scratch is my goal. When I am not in the kitchen, you can find me in my studio working on a sewing or quilting project! Checkout my blog Feeding Big.
