Shannon’s Banana Bread

About 6 years ago, I joined an online message board. I met some amazing women and friends joining it and one of the things we LOVE to do is share recipes with each other! I love tried and true recipes and Hallee has shared some of my favorites! I knew this recipe wouldn’t disappoint the review she gave it or the other various women who tell me “it’s the best banana bread, you will ever have!” Thanks for sharing another amazing recipe Hallee!

Shannon’s Banana Bread-shared from Hallee the Homemaker
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 stick  butter(room temp)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs(room temp)
1 tsp vanilla
3 med/large bananas-mashed
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1/2 cup nuts(opitional)

Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time, until well combined.

In another bowl, mix mashed bananas, yogurt, and vanilla together to combine.

Sift together flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder.

Using a spoon, blend 1/3 of the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, followed by 1/3 of the yogurt mixture, repeat until all ingredients are combined. Add in nuts and give a quick stir. Try not to over mix the batter.

Pour into greased bread pan and bake at 325 degrees for 70-75 minutes.

**This banana bread did NOT disappoint the rave reviews it had gotten from many friends! It was moist, flavorful, and delicious! I am pretty sure that this will be my go to recipe for banana bread from now on! You might want to check on it around 60-65 mins as it looks like mine got a bit browned on the edges, it didn’t hurt the flavor one bit!
