Pumpkin Scones
Spicy sweet, with a holiday flair, make these pumpkin scones anytime!

Ingredients
5 cups whole wheat flour, freshly milled
12 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small chunks
1 cup light brown sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
1 can pumpkin puree (or 1 cup homemade)
2 eggs
1 cup milk
For the glaze:
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 tablespoon maple syurp
1-2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
Begin by mixing flour, sugar, baking powder and spices together.
Cut the butter into the flour mixture until crumbly
In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, milk and pumpkin puree.
Add the wet ingredients into the dry and mix well.
Place in a greased pie pan
Bake in a preheated 400° oven for 18 minutes.
Cut into triangles when cool.
Mix the confectioners sugar, maple syrup and enough milk to make a thick glaze.
Drizzle glace over scones.
