Homemade Whole Wheat Pasta
 
 
Ingredients
  • 2½ cups Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the flour mixture and set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and water. Pour egg mixture into the well of the flour mixture and mix well until a ball is formed.
  2. Place dough on a floured board and knead for 20 turns. Wrap dough in wax paper or plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Cut the dough into manageable sizes and either run through a pasta roller until smooth or roll out to desired thickness with a rolling pin.
  4. Cut the pasta strips into desired shapes or run through a pasta cutter and hang to dry.
  5. Allow pasta to dry completely and store in an air tight container or let the pasta partially dry, twist into a nest, place in an air tight container and store in the freezer.
  6. To cook the pasta, simply boil some water and add the desired amount of pasta. Allow it to cook for 10-12 minutes, remove from heat and drain.
